What is this?
The Registered mail is a mail for which a special security is given while in postal custody.
The mail is normally brought into a post office where it is recorded in LibanPost tracking system and an official receipt is given to the sender.
Registered mail can be only delivered to the addressee (or a legally appointed person) upon presentation of official identity documents.
Registered mail is the only mail recognized legally by official authorities and in courts of law.

I have received a Registered Mail notification, what’s next?
During the delivery process and if the addressee is not found, a second delivery attempt will be done in the next two days. If the addressee is not found, then, a first notification card is left at the address location and the registered mail item is kept at the nearest post office counter for one month where the addressee is invited to pick up the item personally.
A second notification card will be delivered to the address within 15 days.
It’s now possible to order a home service to pick up the registered mail from the postal counter and deliver it to the location of your choice for extra charges. This service is provided upon specific conditions. |
