Letters and Documents

Letter mail is a personalized correspondence service. It handles regular or registered mail, local and international and can contain manuscript handwriting, signatures and other personalized annotations or inclusions.

Personal items, gifts, maps or product samples can also be sent internationally.

To make sure your letter mail is properly dispatched it should bear a complete sender’s and addressee’s address as well as the postage affixed to the upper right corner of the address side.
Every letter mail item should be deposited closed at any Libanpost post office or street mailbox. Parcels and registered mail can only be deposited at the post office.


Letter mail could be:
Phonopost: audio visual materials
Small packs: small parcels or non printed goods up to 2 kg
Invitation cards
Greeting cards
Postcards
Uncovered postal cards with acknowledgment of receipt.

Parcels:
Parcels are items that do not exceed 30kg and include any goods taxed or not prohibited, and can only be deposited at the post office. Those packs cannot be more than 1 meter long and 0.5 meter wide and thick.

Additionally, mailing can be accompanied by a proof of delivery option.

Proof of delivery:
Proof of delivery is associated with any type of mail and gives you the assurance that your mail has properly reached its destination.
Upon delivery, the letter carrier takes the name and signature of the person receiving the item in the case of regular P.O.D., or obtain the signature of the addressee in person (or the legally appointed person receiving it on addressee’s behalf) in both cases of certified P.O.D.
The signed P.O.D. cards is returned to you.

What does it include?
Regular P.O.D.:
P.O.D. service can be added to the regular domestic lettermail, publication, and parcels.
One delivery attempt is made for the regular P.O.D, the service is available at all post offices.

Certified P.O.D.:
The name and signature of the addressee in person (or the legally appointed person) is required, and accepted only upon presentation of identity documents.
