| What is the
foreign worker’s service?
This service allows Lebanese and foreigners
to get approval from the Ministry of Labor
for the employment of foreign staff.
Specifications of this service:
- You no longer have to go to the Ministry
of Labor
- The papers will be delivered to any adult
at the specified address (with the exception
of domestic employees and foreigners). The
papers will be delivered on the condition
that the recipient has the initial signed
mail receipt.
- You may check the status of your papers at
any point during the procedure.
- Two attempts will be made to deliver the
completed documents and notification of each
attempt will be left at the address.
Documents that fail to be delivered will be
returned to the corresponding Libanpost
office for 30 days post the second
notification.
What is the ‘Work
Permit Renewal’ service?
The service allows foreigners to renew their
work permit through the Ministry of Employment
via Libanpost.
What are the benefits of this service?
Libanpost handles all the procedures of
renewing your work permit at the Ministry
of Employment, and then returns the document
after its certification to the person responsible
at a specific previously stipulated address.
How do you use this service?
All documents need must be dropped off at
one of the Libanpost branches by the holder
of the permit (housemaids excluded), the
guarantor or a member of the holder’s
family (father, mother, siblings, children
or spouses). Alternatively, a lawyer, or
a lawyer’s representative can deliver
the documents, provided that that all representatives
possess a permit allowing them to sign for
the work to be conducted. In return, the
individual in question will receive a mail
coupon confirming receipt of the documents.
The work permit will be returned once all
procedures have been conducted to an address
previously stipulated by the individual
responsible. The work permit will only be
delivered to an adult at the address possessing
the previously received mail coupon.
